Crista
joined Wenches-A-Wailing this year.
Crista is currently in school, studying to be a dietitian. She has
worked at the Ohio Renaissance Festival for 11 years and has been
everything from a washer wench to a princess. She is happy to return to
her wench roots, because wenches have more fun, of course. She also
teaches piano and violin lessons, and it's the most fun "real job"
she's ever had. |
Jennifer
Jennifer lives in the greater Dayton, OH
area with her husband Charley (who also helped out with the album, and
supports the shows at the Faire). Charley is Johnna's brother.
They are
reportedly raising thier children and teaching them what songs decency
will allow. She has been
excelling in her role as one of the Wenches since the '98 season,
another thing for which we are
most grateful.

Johnna
was born and raised in the
Greater Dayton area, and still lives in the vicinity.
She has a long history of being involved with theater and the Ohio
Music Educators Association,
and has been working at the Ohio Renaissance Festival since age 16, as
a washer wench. Since then, she went on to co-star in Ohio's Robin Hood
Show from '95 to '98, and the historical Irish pirate queen, Grace
O'Malley in the '97 & '98 seasons. Since then,
she has perfected her role as one of the Wenches A' Wailing, a thing
for which we are most grateful.
She is now an ex-wench, and is devoting her time to
making period costumery for Odd
Bodkin. That and she got married in April of 2003! Congratulations!

Jan
is a brand-new official Wench (though we suspect she's been an ACTUAL
wench for many years!), having joined in the 2004 season.
Jennifer's been trying to get her to expose her wenchy assets for
nearly a decade - and finally succeeded. She played flute and
maracas during the 2004 season. Jan currently lives with her
Black Lab, Madison, having moved back to Ohio full time in 2004.
She's been working the Ohio Renaissance festival for over 9 years.
Prior to Wenches, she worked for Dragon and Unicorn as a
merchant. She has earned a B.A. in Theatre and English from
Wilmington College of Ohio, and currently works as the head of
technical support for a local software company.
