Further information:
Things that traditional students take for granted are nearly impossible
for a growing number of college and university students. Both the
makeup and needs of non-traditional students have changed over the last
twenty years. Older students are driven by global economic forces to go
to college - whether for the first time or simply for new skills in a
new economy.
These older students face different challenges than other types of
non-traditional students. This paper examines their difficulties and
needs relating to the very framework of higher education: the class
schedule.
The notes from the talk are under the slide. You can hear the talk and
read the paper at its main page.
