| We've got over 900
pages with almost
2,000 resources, making this is one of the
largest non-commercial homeschooling and educational sites on the Web.
We have been going daily (with a vacation here and there) since June
2002! Seriously - you can check it
all out for free right now! What makes this education list for homeschoolers and teachers different from every other education list for homeschoolers and teachers? Check out our mission statement! And did we mention that it's not only free - it's ad-free as well! (note - the search results have ads because the free search site I was using did not index the whole site. The e-mails still are - and will remain - ad-free.) Your donations, however are appreciated: | Donate $5 Donate $10 Donate whatever you like! |

What makes this list different than any other? This isn't like most education - or homeschooling - lists. There are other sites (and lists) that do an excellent job of putting together and distributing daily lesson plans. There's a definite place for those kinds of sites, and they do a valuable job. This isn't one of those sites. Instead, I send you a few interesting sites, articles, or activities almost every weekday. These sites are intended to provoke discussion, exploration, and learning in a free learning environment. Here's two examples: There's a site about a big new telescope - so learn how telescopes work. Where's the closest "big" telescope to you? What would you want to see through a telescope? Here's a site about filesharing. What does "filesharing" mean? How does the technology work? Why do some companies have problems with it? What is "fair use"? Is this different than the controversy that surrounded VCRs? Why? So if there's a post that doesn't seem to be "education" - just start asking questions with your kids, together. Learning isn't just about worksheets. Back to the top |
